Our Story

SendWell was not born in a boardroom. It was born from experience — 35 years of entrepreneurship across IT, international trade, and manufacturing. Founder Ragnar Standhardt saw firsthand how complex, error-prone, and time-consuming transport management can be. And how many companies struggle with it every day without realizing there's a better way.

That realization became SendWell: a company that takes over the complete transport management for its clients. Not as a middleman, but as an extension of the client — negotiating with carriers, controlling every invoice, monitoring every shipment. Powered by a fully automated Transport Management System built on decades of IT expertise.

2000 — 2023
Rhino Loghouses
From scratch, Ragnar built a factory in Russia for the production of chalets, holiday homes, restaurants, and recreational buildings. 23 years of managing design, production, international logistics, and client delivery. This is where the transport challenge became impossible to ignore.
1990 — 2001
IT Specialist
Over 10 years of experience in system administration, performance management, and software development at leading organizations including the Dutch Kadaster, Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defence, Dutch Railways, and SFB. This technical foundation became the bedrock of SendWell's automated TMS system.
1988
H.S.E. — First Company
Straight after completing his degree in Computer Engineering, Ragnar started his first company. H.S.E. (Hardware Software Engineering) developed electronic hardware and software for the audio industry. This is where the entrepreneurial journey began.

May 2006 — Ambassador Alfred Bijlsma and journalist Pieter Waterdrinker visit the Rhino Loghouses factory in Russia

In May 2006, the former Dutch Ambassador to Russia, Alfred Bijlsma, visited the Rhino Loghouses factory. Also present was Pieter Waterdinker, a well-known Dutch journalist and Russia expert who wrote about the factory for De Telegraaf.

The ambassador was so impressed that he ordered a chalet for his own home in France. It was a moment that confirmed what Ragnar had believed from the start: quality speaks for itself, across borders and cultures.

That same belief in quality, reliability and personal contact is what drives SendWell today. The names change. The compass stays the same.
